Trip to Tioman Island

It took a long while for us to decide which island do we want to go. And finally we made our choice. We chose the Tioman island at the Malaysian East Coast. Even though totally it took for us nine hours to reach to Salang beach. The way there seemed fun and easy. As well the nature the places we were passing by on the way really amazed us. Once we arrived we got the most attracted with pure, clean water at the Salang beach. During our first day in the island we were exploring the area of the island. To our surprise the living part there was very small and could be explored less than an hour time. Very fast we were checked in to the room meant for four persons. Tired and powerless after a long way very fast we slept off in th room. About lunch time we went to a small Chinese food store in our hotel but the food there was too unusual for us. So we went to look for that we would more acceptable for our stomachs. After lunch our exploration of the island was continued. There were a duty free shops, diving centers, souvenir shops, food stores and batik workshop. As we were busy exploring the island we didn't realize how the evening came. Everyone was gathering beside the same Chinese food store for dinner and surprisingly this time the food seemed edible. As we all came for the sake of having fun and resting none of us felt sleepy. Exactly on that day our good friend and classmate called Sepher was celebrating his twenty seventh birthday. The evening turned to be very great.
Next day morning started quit hard for us and we couldn't even get up from the bed. And someone's annoying alarm didn't let us enjoy the last sweet minutes of sleep. Dinara was looking for the bloody alarm all over the room to switch it off until we got to understand that so called alarm was a real cock making noise outside. On this day we had a lot of activities planned.around 10 am all of us came to get the last instructions about snorkeling. After another 30 minutes our boats were already leaving from Salang beach. Full of expectations of the seeing something interesting we were taking pictures and having fun on our way to the first destination point. Snorkeling activities took place at the different parts of the island. The last point was a beach where we had to have our lunch all together. We were amazed by the untouched environment of that place. After lunch we all went back to Salang beach. Tired and full of new wonderful impressions we came back to our rooms. The same evening me and Gala decided to go around to the souvenir shops looking for something nice and unusual to bring back home as a memory of our trip. Walking around the place we realized a big number of cats living in the island, so as a joke we started calling this place a Cat's island. As we really love this animal we even wanted to take one back to home but luckily decided not to do so. The rest of the evening spent same fun as the previous one. Our talks, guitar sound and sons could be heard all over the beach.
The next day was our last day in Tioman. We had our breakfast in one of the near by cafe where, surprisingly, the dessert was served before the main course. After that we packed our staff and checked out from the hotel. The long way back home was waiting for us. Three hours in the ferry and we reached Mersing town where our bus was waiting. After three days of isolation from normal food everyone rushed to the KFC near by the jetty point. When full and satisfied we came into the bus and finally realized that now we are living this wonderful place. The way back seemed a bit longer bu we all were busy discussing the happenings of the past three days and didn't notice how we reached Cyberjaya. We left like we spent three days in a fairytale and now it finished. We will always remember this trip as a part of fun student years we have.

We are very much thankful to Ms. Rosnizam who organized this fairy tale for us.
Dinara and Gala.
